Rebuilt with the best possible materials, using traditional techniques and local craftsmen, this property offers you the very best of Greek village life.
Patmos Hills are in the protected area of Kastelli, gives you the best of everything: central location, large garden, exceptional views, traditional furnishings and modern comfort.
The houses has easy access by car, but we recommend the swift walk through the picturesque streets of the traditional township of Kastelli
Patmos Hills are only 300 meters from the beach and about five minutes from the town Centre, but you are surrounded by 2000 square meters of traditional farmland with 100 year old pines and olive trees, making your stay quiet and rejuvenating.
The house consists of two separate units, which may be rented together or separately.
Both units have fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms, and secluded terraces.
The Old House, has two bedrooms, a separate living room and kitchen. There are four beds, but we have made it easy to convert the living rooms to bedrooms so that The Old house may sleep 6 people.
There are two large terraces and direct access to the large garden.

Directions:
Patmos Hills are situated in a large garden on the top of the neighborhood called Kastelli in Skala. Skala is the village where you arrive with boats or ferries. We will normally have somebody meet you at the boat, but just to make sure, here are directions.
You can walk to the house. That takes about 10 minutes, but it is uphill and with lots of stairs. Not recommended with a heavy suitcase.
Alternatives are driving, if you have your own car, or using a taxi.
Driving instructions
Use the map above to help you along.
Driving from the port, turn right and drive along the bay and pass the town beach to you right. There is only one road.
After about 1-2 minutes from leaving the boat, you will pass a small church on your left and have the yacht harbor to your right.
Drive another 150 meters after you have passed the church. You will see a small graveyard on your left. Immediately after the graveyard (drive slowly), turn left onto a small road taking you steeply up the hill. The road is actually between the graveyard and the electricity plant of Patmos.
After about 200 meters, there is an almost 180 degree turn in the road so that you are actually now driving back in the direction of the port (although of course on top of the hill).
Keep on the main road, do not take the small roads that forks off to the right. After about 200 meters the road turns right and you will see all of Skala down in from of you.
The road ends at a parking lot. Our house is to the left.
You have arrived!
Taxi – instructions for the taxi-driver
When you leave the boat, or ferry, turn right. In about 50 meters you will see a taxi-stand on the port side of the road. In the summer there is normally a line of people waiting, so be early and keep your place.
Tell the taxi-driver to take you to Kastelli, to the parking lot down from the house of Stavros Matheou. He will know where that is.
Depending on the number og people and luggage the fee should be from € 5 to € 8.
The Old House or The Farm House?
The Old House is the original house on the property. Cross a small wooden entrance way onto the main terrace.
The Farm House is the old place for the animals, and is partly situated under the main terrace of The Old House.
When you first arrive with all your luggage, pass over the main terrace, down the steps to you left. Later, you will use one of the garden entrances.
Keys?
Keys will either be in the door, or on top of the washing machine which is located in the laundry room – down the stairs, small door just before you enter The Farm House terrace.

Best holiday home ever
We are happy, that we could be your guests in your amazing house on Patmos. We think, it was the best holiday-home we‘ve ever stayed. Just sitting on the terasse, watching the blue sea and the ships became our new hobby 😉. The house , its interior, the surrounding , everything was just great.
